Willpower won’t save you. Identity will.
💌 teri says hi.
Hey friend,
Is it just me, or is summer a whole mood shift?
I love the slower pace, the sunlight, the spontaneous iced coffee runs… but I’ve also noticed that somewhere between the beach days and the calendar chaos, motivation can quietly check out.
That’s exactly why this week’s episode of Success in Mind is a must-listen! We’re talking about the summer slump, what causes it (hint: it’s not laziness), and how to get your momentum back without forcing it.
Also, I’ve got a juicy new course dropping soon called Booked + Brilliant that’s all about getting you in front of new audiences and turning podcast interviews into clients. Stay tuned 👀
Let’s dive into the good stuff ⬇️

🧠 Binge Worthy:
You don’t need more willpower. You need a new identity.

Here’s a little secret no one tells you about mindset work:
You can’t out-hustle a self-image that’s stuck in the past.
If you keep saying things like “I’m just not consistent” or “I always fall off in summer”, your brain will look for ways to prove that true. It’s not sabotage. It’s science. Your unconscious mind loves consistency… even if the story it’s clinging to is the very thing holding you back.
So here’s your challenge:
Don’t try to “push through.”
Instead, ask yourself: What would the version of me who already has what I want do today?
Start acting as if – not to fake it – but to become it.
That’s how you build momentum that lasts longer than motivation.
Your identity drives your habits.
Upgrade the story, and the results will follow.
I have room for 2 more clients in August. If you want to drop the old stories and become the new version of you who achieves the things you want to achieve, book a consultation with me: www.teriholland.ca
