4ď¸âŁ Advice: "Press the buttons. You won't break it". This gem came from my friend and marketing coach, Lorri Klassen. She shared it in regards to trying new apps or technology and I repeat it to people often when teaching podcasting.
5ď¸âŁ Random Fixation: Watching tiny home tours and convincing myself I could totally live in 300 sq ft. Reality: With 2 dogs, this would be a big nope.
Binge worthy...
The One Mindset Shift Thatâll Make You Love Failure (Yes, Really)
Here it is, the mindset shift that changes everything:

Stop trying to avoid failure. Start collecting it.
I know, I know; failure feels gross. Itâs uncomfortable, itâs messy, and it loves to show up at the worst possible moment. But what if I told you that the people you admire most, the bold ones, the successful ones, the risk-takers- arenât avoiding failure⌠theyâre racking it up like loyalty points?
Thatâs because failure isnât the opposite of successâitâs the training ground for it.
The more willing you are to âfail forward,â the more data, experience, and grit you build. Every failed launch, awkward conversation, missed opportunity, or plan that goes sideways gives you one more tool in your confidence toolbox.
đĄ Try this: Start a Failure File.
Yep. An actual document or notebook where you jot down risks you took, what went wrong, and what you learned. At first, it feels counterintuitive (and maybe a little painful), but soon youâll see something magical:
-
That awkward pitch? It made you better at explaining your value.
-
That product that flopped? It taught you what your people actually want.
-
That rejection? It redirected you to something way more aligned.
Before long, youâre not just tolerating failure; youâre chasing it. Not in a reckless way, but in a bold, intentional, future-focused way.
Why? Because failure means youâre in motion.
It means youâre trying.
It means youâre alive and playing to win.
So go ahead and take the risk. Say the thing. Launch the thing (maybe a podcast?).
And if it crashes and burns? Fabulous. You just added another brick to your unshakable foundation.
Dare of the week:
Take one risk this week that makes you slightly nauseous.
Then put it in your Failure File and high-five yourself for doing what most people wonât.
If youâre still reading, youâre officially my favourite. Forward this to someone who needs a little liftâor a little laugh.
'Til next timeâŚ
Teri says bye.
(get it? Because the newsletter is "Teri Says Hi"... so now Teri says bye. Or is that too cringey?)
